The Umbro Galway Cup
4th to 7th August 2010
2010 SCHEDULE NOW ON GALWAYCUP.COM |
 |
The 2010 Umbro Galway Cup schedule has been released on Galwaycup.com! 126 matches will take place over four days on our four excellent grass pitches. Groundsman Vinny Byrne has been working hard in the rain and sunshine to ensure all players will be playing on top class surfaces once more!
Leicester City, pictured left, face a tough opening game in their defence of the U15 Elite title, with a Wednesday afternoon match against Irish Cup Champions Cherry Orchard. Elite newcomers Stabaek and Bangor City square off against each other on Wednesday evening.
There are a host of mouthwatering fixtures across the six Competitions to look forward to. The U17 and U15 Boys Competitions look particularly competitive, with just the top team in each group guaranteed to advance to the Cup latter stages. In truth, it's hard to call who's going to leave with the silverware in any of the Comptetitions. Make your own mind up by viewing the full list of fixtures here. Team leaders will be sent their fixtures in the coming hours.

CALLING ALL PLAYERS AND TEAM LEADERS: SEND IN YOUR TEAM PHOTOS
|

|
Calling all team leaders and players: It's time to send us your team photos! We will upload all team photos to our website and Facebook page. This is a perfect way to get your team colours in the public eye before the Tournament. Who knows, you might be lucky enough to have the team featured on the main page, like Stabaek, pictured left. So feel free to send us your team photo to info@galwaycup.com. Did the team win a league? Or get far in a Cup competition? We'd be glad to include this on our page. Make sure to keep up-to-date with everything Galway Cup related by joining our Facebook page.
We have asked all team leaders to submit a blurb on their team. As well as that, it's now time to submit squad names and numbers. If these are not sent in to us, they will not appear in our programme, so if you haven't done so already, make sure to send us this information right away! Thank you to all those who have already provided us with these details.
